Family's Faucets Spew Flames

What would you do if you turned on your faucet only to find that your water was flammable?

That's exactly what's happening to a family in Colorado.

The Ellsworth family says their water is flammable. Amee Ellsworth can turn on a faucet in her kitchen or bathroom, flick a lighter and watch flames shoot up from the sink.

"I'm terrified. There are no other words for it. I am absolutely terrified," Ellsworth said.

"There's clearly a safety issue if you've got a flammable gas building up," said Dave Neslin, with the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Experts said they think the gas is leaking from one of the eight natural gas wells in the area.

The companies that own the wells have offered to build the family a water treatment facility.
